High School
Grades 9-12 (Age: 14-18)
” Where passion meets purpose in preparation for the future. “
High school at BCCI is a time of growth, learning, and new opportunities. It is a journey that prepares students not only for academic success but also for their future careers and personal development.
Academically, students are positively challenged with advanced coursework in subjects such as math, science, English, and social studies, preparing them for college and future careers.
However, high school is more than just academics—it is also a time of self-discovery, independence, and personal responsibility. Beyond the classroom, we encourage critical thinking, reasoning, growing in faith, independence, and engagement in the community. Whether through academics, extracurricular activities, or service projects, high school lays the foundation for lifelong learning and success. Students deepen their critical thinking skills, form lasting relationships, and explore their interests through a wide range of electives, extracurricular activities, and leadership opportunities.
The Advanced Placement (AP) programs, administered by the College Board, offer high school students the opportunity to engage in college-level courses and exams. These courses are more rigorous than standard high school subjects, enabling students to push themselves academically and excel in their educational pursuits.
One significant advantage of AP courses is the potential to earn college credit. By performing well on AP exams, students may be able to bypass introductory college courses, thereby saving both time and money in their higher education journey.
Furthermore, many colleges and universities recognize the value of AP coursework and consider it during the admissions process. A strong record in AP classes can distinguish applicants and demonstrate their readiness for college-level studies, highlighting their dedication to academic achievement.
AP courses are intentionally designed to be challenging, mirroring the academic rigor of college. Engaging in these courses helps students develop critical thinking, analytical prowess, and a broad knowledge base, preparing them for the complexities of higher education and beyond.
high school students are equipped with academic excellence, spiritual discernment, and leadership skills. With a commitment to truth and service, they engage in rigorous learning, embrace challenges, and step forward as compassionate, Christ-centered world changers.
