The Warriors was established with a mission to foster the development of righteous, virtuous, and resilient young individuals through the platform of sports. Guided by the example of Christ, we embrace a holistic approach to our athletes, instilling in them the values of faith, integrity, and perseverance. We empower them to pursue excellence in all aspects of life, recognizing that trials and setbacks serve as opportunities for spiritual refinement and growth.
Engaging in sports offers a plethora of advantages for students across physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. Research indicates that physically active students often exhibit enhanced academic performance, attributed to improved concentration, memory, and behavior.
We are committed to empowering our students to seize the full potential of sports participation, ranging from local to national competitions. By fostering connections within a thriving athletic community, we aim to promote holistic well-being. Our students compete alongside peers from international schools and esteemed professional organizations in a variety of sports, including Flag Football, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, and more.
Our coaches are not only highly skilled and professionally trained in their respective fields but also deeply committed to a holistic, spiritual-centered approach. They strive to cultivate the overall well-being and personal development of each athlete, fostering not just athletic prowess but also character and spiritual growth.
At MCES Warriors, we believe that sports are more than just a competition; they’re an opportunity to foster a sense of belonging and promote overall wellness.
Our sports program is built on a foundation of community, where athletes support and encourage each other both on and off the field. Through team-building activities, leadership development and a focus on mental and physical health, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every student-athlete can thrive.
Additionally, we provide access to resources such as nutritional guidance, injury prevention strategies, and mental health support to ensure our athletes are not only successful on the field but also happy and healthy individuals.
In September 2023, MCES Warriors embarked on a journey to transform the landscape of sports training, inspired by the mission of the Bangkok Christian College International: “Making everything new.” With an open invitation extended to the entire school community, spanning ages 5-18 and encompassing both boys and girls. The response was remarkable, with 30% of the student body eagerly participating.
Under the guidance of Coach Boaz Jing, who graciously volunteered as the Sports Coordinator, the program began to take shape. Recognizing the importance of parental involvement, a dedicated team of volunteer parents was assembled to assist with team management and serve as assistant coaches.
A significant milestone was reached when the Thai National Flag Football Team Captain, Ingdarin Siriwongwan, accepted the invitation to join the MCES Warriors as the head coach in early 2024.
The highest point of these efforts came with the founding of the first Bangkok Youth Cup. The MCES Warriors team emerged victorious, getting the championship title and earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of the tournament. This triumph not only celebrated the talent and hard work of our student-athletes but also marked the beginning of a legacy of excellence for the MCES Warriors sports program.
